Our 8-9-10 year old team merged with FWN and FME for All-Star play. Their tournament starts June 16th at the Federal Way National Complex. Their first game is on June 16th at noon on Field 2. Steel Lake players and coaches are:

2A Baseball Playoff Update

The Steel Lake Little League 2A Baseball Playoffs continued Friday evening. The Twins handed the Mariners their first loss of the tournament. In an elimination game of the tournament, the Orioles stayed alive, beating the Yankees. 

Congrats on a great season to the Yankees players and coaches.

Action continues on Monday, June 18th, with Mariners and the Orioles playing for the final spot in the championship. The playoffs are double-elimination and will run to June 20th or June 22nd (if necessary). 


 
NEW BAT STANDARDS FOR 2018

**IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT BAT RULE CHANGES***

Beginning in 2018, Little League International will adopt a new bat standard for BASEBALL which means NO bats previously approved for Little League Play will be permitted to be used in any Little League game or practice. Be very careful as you purchase a new bat for next season as all bats manufactured for the 2017 season and older WILL NOT BE ALLOWED under the new rules. New bats began production in September 2017 and must be stamped as "USA Baseball" approved.

Steel Lake / FME combined softball 9/10/11 all star team made a good run with victories against BLS and Soundview and finish 3rd place in District 10 after finishing the tournament in the semi-final game.

 
GREAT WORK BY THE 9/10/11 BASEBALL ALL-STAR TEAM

Steel Lake 9/10/11 baseball all stars dropped their final game in a heartbreaker after leading 12-7 going into the bottom of the final inning and lost by one run in extra innings.

Steel Lake held big leads in every game the played (10-3, 9-3 and 12-7) including knocking out the powerhouse BLS all star team.

Steel Lake Little League was awarded the

Art Mikelsen-Mariners Care Grant

The annual Art Mikelsen-Mariners Care Grant will be awarded to the District 10 Steel Lake Little League, which covers the eastern boundaries of the Federal Way School District
Steel Lake will receive a $5,000 grant, which will be used to off-set the cost of joining a Little League team. The grant can be used to cover such expenses as insurance, field fees, and the cost of uniforms or equipment, barriers that prevent some kids from being able to participate in organized baseball or softball.
